A second season, titled Tokyo Ghoul √A, aired from January to March 2015. Tokyo Ghoul is an anime television series produced by Pierrot based on Sui Ishida's manga series of the same name. By the time that Kaneki realises that he has his ghoul eye activated, Hide tells him "I Knew." Aogiri commences their invasion of Cochlea and free a majority of the imprisoned ghouls while Amon and Akira visit the prison to learn more about Aogiri's plan from Donato Porpora. Hide reveals that he knew Kaneki was a ghoul after Nishiki attacked the two of them.
At Anteiku, Touka and Hinami find out that Kaneki is involved in the attack, but each react to the news in different ways. When a civilian gets caught in the middle, Hachikawa continues to press his attack unabated. The many CCG officers involved in the mission take time beforehand to write any last words they might have, as the 20th Ward is cordoned off and its civilians evacuated. Kaneki and Ayato rescue Naki, one of Jason's old cohorts from CCG custody, and prepare to storm the maximum security prison for Ghouls known as "Cochlea". Eventually the strongest investigator, Kishō Arima attacks the One-Eyed Owl giving the CCG renewed hope to fight.
Amid the battles between the CCG, Cochlea security and ghouls, Kaneki meets a ghoul named Orca with orders to break him free, but is attacked by him instead. During the mission, they are attacked by two one-eyed ghouls in black and white striped masks. Kaneki and Ayato lead an Aogiri attack on a CCG convoy to rescue Naki, one of Jason's old cohorts who is being taken to the maximum security prison for ghouls known as Cochlea. The second season of the Tokyo Ghoul anime Ksi Casino television series, titled Tokyo Ghoul √A,a is produced by Pierrot, and directed by Shuhei Morita.
Season 3: Re (
The season ran on Adult Swim's Toonami programming block in the United States from July to October 2017. The season follows Ken Kaneki after he joins Aogiri Tree, as the group begins their battle against the CCG, who are trying to exterminate the ghoul organization. Rather, it mixes in the manga's content with an anime original story composition credited towards the author Sui Ishida. The season roughly adapts the second half of the Tokyo Ghoul manga, although, √A does not directly adapt everything from the manga.
